David Akers has been an entrepreneur all of his life.  As a young child, he would build items from wood in his garage and sell them to kids in the neighborhood.  He started a neighborhood lawn care service at the age of 11. He took on a paper route at the age of 13 and ran it like a small business, always working hard to ensure his customers were happy with their service.

Soon after high school, his desire to own his own business came calling again, and David found himself as the co-owner of a successful national fast food franchise at the age of 20.  Using his natural business sense, David grew the business by providing quality product, friendly service, strong marketing and ensuring that every customer had an enjoyable experience. Under Dave's ownership and leadership, the business received multiple awards for revenue and customer growth, cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

David soon found that he had a passion for helping other business owners and set forth on a journey to fulfill that passion.  David had the privilege of working at the nation's largest direct-marketing organization. He had the opportunity to work with business owners, helping them grow their business.  Recognizing David's entrepreneurial skills and business vision, he was asked to lead several key initiatives within the organization.  It was in these roles that Dave thrived, helping identify and developing solutions to key obstacles in productivity, morale, customer satisfaction, revenue growth and profitability.

David continued to hone his talents, taking leadership roles in organizational design, training, communication and process improvement. David had a high-level leadership role in the successful design and implementation of a multi-million dollar ERP system, which impacted more than 600 sales associates and more than 1,000 associates nationwide.

Dave soon found that he missed the interaction with small and medium sized business owners, and set forth a plan to utilize his skills in helping those business segments, which led to the creation of Akers Consulting Group, LLC.

David has a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Western Governor's University, and a Master Certificate in Strategic Business Leadership from Villanova University.

Recognized as a marketing expert, David has earned the adExcellence Member designation from Microsoft.

David and his wife of 24 years reside in Royersford, PA along with their teenage daughter.  Their two older sons are proudly serving in the U.S. Marines.

Besides ACG and his family, David's interests include Racquetball, photography, reading and writing.
